Sonnenuntergang Salinas de Fuencaliente

Das Rot der untergehenden Sonne spiegelt sich im Weiß des Salzes. Sonnenuntergang Salinas de Fuencaliente. Die Salinas de Fuencaliente ganz im Süden von La Palma sind ein Betrieb zur Gewinnung von Meersalz. Sie sind aber auch ein großes Freilichtmuseum, in dem man die ganzen Schritte zur Meersalzgewinnung erleben kann. Besonders schön ist es dort gegen Abend, wenn die Sonne langsam im Meer versinkt und sich der Himmel rot färbt. Das weiße Salz spiegelt dann diese Farbe und die Sonne funkelt in den Kristallen.

Sonnenaufgang am Playa de Esquinzo

Ab und an lohnt sich auch mal das früh auf stehen 🙂 Der Playa de Esquinzo, oft auch einfach Playa Esquinzo genannt ist ein feiner Sandstrand im Südosten von Fuerteventura. Auf der Halbinsel Jandia, auf dem Weg von der Costa Calma nach Morro Jable. Dieser Teil der Insel ist vor allem vom Tourismus geprägt.

So reihen sich lose ab der Costa Calma die Hotels und Clubs an einander. Je weiter man nach Süden kommt um so enger liegen sie bei einander. Wer also auf der Suche nach Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit ist, sollte lieber einen anderen Teil der Insel wählen. Allerdings verpasst man dann den ein oder anderen Sonnenaufgang. Die Lage ist günstig, die Sonne geht genau gegenüber auf. Ideal für Langzeitbelichtungen. Zum Einsatz gekommen ist mein Nikon 14-24mm mit Haida 150er Filterhalter und einem Haida Graufilter ND 3.0.

Sunrise at the Playa de Esquinzo in the south of Fuerteventura. Esquinzo is a part of the peninsula Jandia. All pictures are taken with my Nikon 14-24mm and a HaidaND3.0 filter system.

Pozo Negro

Pozo Negro, eine kleine Ansammlung von Häusern an der Ostküste von Fuerteventura. Hier gibt es weder ein Hotel noch einen Supermarkt. Dafür aber den Naturstrand Playa de Pozo Negro. Eine Busverbindung ist mir nicht bekannt, aber man erreicht das Dorf sehr gut mit dem Auto über die FV-420. In Pozo Negro ist alles noch sehr ursprünglich. Am Strand liegen ein paar kleine Fischerboote, es gibt ein einfaches Restaurant mit lokalen speisen, und in der Ferne kräht ein Hahn. Der Massentourismus und seine Auswirkungen sind in weiter ferne. Man hat Zeit zum aus spannen und sich erholen. Strand-liegen, Schirme oder ähnliches sucht man hier vergebens. Einzig drei alte Tretboote in Schwanen Form erinnern an den Tourismus. In der Nähe befindet sich auch La Atalayita eine historisch bedeutende Fundstätte aus der Guanchen Zeit.

Pozo Negro a few small houses at the east coast of Fuerteventura. To call it a fishing village would be to much. There are just a few houses, a little restaurant with local food and a some fishing boats. The beach is a empty natural beach, without sunshades or something else. Its a nice place for staying a couple of hours and relaxing. You could go there by car over the FV-420.

Vilaflor de Chasna auf Teneriffa

Vilaflor de Chasna ist mit seinen 1400 Metern der höchst gelegene Ort auf Teneriffa. Umgeben von Mandelplantagen, Pinienwäldern und ausgiebigen Wanderwegen lädt er zum verweilen ein. Im Ort selbst gibt es eine alte Wassermühle zu bestaunen, mit welcher früher das Maismehl für den Gofio gemahlen wurde. Die Mühle ist restauriert und begehbar. Sehr schön an zu schauen ist auch die Kirche San Pedro aus dem 17 Jahrhundert. Erbaut im Kanarischen Stiel, das heißt schön weiß gestrichen mit einem ansehnlichen Dorfplatz davor, inklusive Olivenbaum. Was will man mehr. Der einzige Heilige, der von den kanarischen Inseln kommt, San Pedro de San José Betancur ist übrigens in Vilaflor gebohren. Papst Johannis Paul II hat ihn 2002 für sein wirken in Guatemala heilig gesprochen. Und das ist vor Ort nicht zu übersehen. Man brauch nicht mal ein Auto um nach Vilaflor zu kommen. Das öffentliche Bus System ist gut aus gebaut. Vom Süden aus gibt es tolle Verbindungen für einen Tagestrip mit ausgedehnter Wanderung.

Vilaflor is with 1400 meter the highest village at Tenerife. Suroundet by Pine Forest and a lot of hiking trails it’s an ideal starting point for daytrips into the mountains. You even don’t need a car, there is a great public bus system at tenerife.

The great Dunas de Maspalomas

The great Dunas de Maspalomas are sand dunes in the south of Gran Canaria. Its a well known place for tourists. The gread task the Dunas de maspalomas is not the sand or the winds. Its to get your picture free of people, specialy free of nude people. The dunas are popular by the nudity communinty and very popular by the gay community. And both are don t like people with huge cameras. They always expect a peeping tom or pervert behind. And not a nature photographer. I was on there with my D800 the Nikon 14-24 and my Nikon 70-200mm. So I attract much attension.

Sand and Sky – The beautyfull Dunes of Maspalomas

The beautyfull dunes of Maspalomas. Impressions from my last journy to Gran Canaria. The dunes of Maspalomas are a 6×2 square meters areal in the south east of Gran Canaria. The best time to stay there is between the end of April and die beginning of june. Before April its very windy there, so you have some problems with sand, your towel or umbrella and after june the sand is (for me) to hot. The dunes are not so empty as they looks on my pictures. On some days they are full of members of the gay community or of full nudity people. Out there is a big full nutity area. But who cares, its a nice place for taking pictures, The Sand is very finely granulated and the wind makes nice patterns in the dunes. On one side there is a small lake, the left of a former laguna who was taken step by step by the sand. Its a breeding area for a lot of birds and a wildlife sanctuary. Net time I will come with a ND Filter doing some long time exposure.

Sundown Mover at Costa Adeje

I met this group of easy life back packers at Costa Adejes Playa del Duques promenade. They enjoed the sundown and did some music there. After a short conversationthey agreed to do some posing for my sundown silhuette photoseries. And I also did some hero shots with the guitar player. I call it Sundown Mover. I also want to do one of thouse jumping pictures but it was to dangerous to do it there. Just a short wall as a border for the promenade. Sundown Family

A father and his two little sons watching the sundown and exploring the coast of Costa Adeje. The don`t take notice of me because they walked on top of a wave breaker and I usesd my 70-200 on a lower position. I love it to take pictures against the down going sun. I Found the sundown family at playa del duque and they are a part od my new sundwon silhouette project.

Eine kleine Familie auf einer Buhne an der Costa Adeje. Der Vater zeigt seinen Söhnen den Sonnenuntergang und sie gucken nach kleinen Krebsen zwischen den Steinen. Bemerkt haben sie mich nicht. Eigentlich schade, so werden sie nie die Bilder von sich sehen.
