Timanfaya fire mountains

Montañas del Fuego – The Timanfaya fire mountain

The second part of my trip to the Timanfaya fire mountain (Montañas del Fuego). Its an national park vulcano area in the southwestern part of the island of Lanzarote, Canary Island. Ihe last big eruption was in 1824, and the biggest eruption was in 1730, when it covers half of the island with lava. And please dont miss the first part 🙂

A Seagull at La Graziosa

A Seagull in the air

A bunch of seagulls looking for prey. I met thous gulls on a boat trip over the atlantic ocean from the island of Lanzarote to la Graciosa. The seagull followes our Boat for a while in hope of getting feeded by the tourists. They trow some food for them in the air. That seems to happen frequently, because the gulls were very trustingly.

squaller

A beautyfull little squaller

I met this little squaller on my last trip to the canaies istland Tenerife. He made a lot of noise while defending his food against everyone. But he was not afraid of my 105mm macro lens. Yes you heared right, I did all thouse pictures with a macro lens. I am not a bird photographer and I never wanted to be one. But I took the chance and did some portraits of this little squaller.

Egyptian Locust

Egyptian Locust

I found this little creatures at the zoo in Frankfurt am Main. They are in boring glasbox, standing in front of a window. So thats why one of the pictures has a blue background. I stumbeld upon by their name, Egyptian Locust (anacridium aegyptium). Egyptian huh. I thought if they are thous fellows mentiond in the old testament as one of the tenplaques. Imagine, if millions of them coming to your farm…..

Light Green

Light Green

Thats how spring in germany normaly looks. The plants shines in a light green,  the sky is pale blue with little clouds and a little breeze is going throu the fields.

The green iguana - Iguana iguana

The green iguana – Iguana iguana

The green iguna ( Iguana iguana) also known as the common iguna or as american iguna. This little friend here is far away from home.  He lives at the Loro Parque. Together with a turtle and some Callitrichidae monkeys. The Loro Parque a very nice zoo in Puert de la Cruz in the north of Tenerife. Its very unusual for me doing thouse kind of pictures, but he was very friedly and interested on my camera. He is behind a glas wall. I had to use a polariser to get most of the reflections out. There are many vititors around who tries th flash with a smartphone against the glas. So you have many reflections there.

Osthafen Frankfurt

Osthafen Frankfurt – Frankfurt’s East Harbor

Der Osthafen Frankfurt

The beautyfull Frankfurt east harbor at night. A cupple of years ago befor they build the new european central bank there. With the new bridge over the river Main there are now more photographers at the evening as you can count. Everyone is trying to get s skyline picture.
